There is a strong tradition of Art throughout the school. Besides the weekly Art lessons from KG through to year 9, Art and Design is offered at IGCSE level – Fine Art or Textiles – and again at GCE A level.

In addition Design Technology is a subject taught from years 7-9 and offered as an external exam in years 10 and 11 [IGCSE] and in years 12 and 13 [GCE A Level].

Besides Art as part of the curriculum, the students take part in many Art competitions – both in school and in the local community, such as Ministry competitions, Radisson Blu Hotel’s annual competition and the Kuwait Times Newspaper annual competition.

There is also an annual Art and Design Technology Exhibition held in the newly modernised Art and Design Technology block.

Each year the school produces a calendar which is given as a gift to all Kuwait English School families in December. This calendar is annually made up of student Art work.

The high standard of Art and Design Technology work can be seen around the school in the corridors and of course in the Art/DT Block itself.
