Students from across Key Stages 1,2,3,4 and 5 have been busy over the past month designing and making lanterns for the Festival of Light, which took place on the school playground on Tuesday 18th February.
The Festival was an opportunity for all students across key stages at KES to come together and present their lanterns at night. This gives that little bit of extra excitement, parading their lantern designs of different shapes and sizes of fantastic illumination!
The students got to see each other’s designs in their full glory and then got to take the lanterns home for keeps!
A fantastic evening organise by the Art & DT department. Special thanks to Raneem Ibrahim and Myoungjey Son, art students from the sixth form, for running lantern-making workshops for the junior students!
