KES is ready for online learning

At Kuwait English School we have listened and paid attention to the concerns of our parents, students, and teachers during the e-learning programme which was implemented during the final term of the last school year.
We have worked tirelessly to build a robust system to improve the online learning programme for this school year.
Our teaching staff have demonstrated their complete commitment and dedication to our KES students by attending IT training courses to ensure they are fully equipped for the task ahead.
For the safety of our students and teaching staff and in line with Ministry of Education guidelines, we will begin the academic year with an online learning programme.
As we understand that our younger students require adult supervision whilst learning online, we are moving to a later school day in order to accommodate working parents.
It is imperative that we all work together to ensure our students are able to participate and benefit fully.
To promote a sense of belonging and an understanding of school routine, we will expect all students to ve dressed smartly and ready for a prompt start each day.
We understand the importance of personal connection between students and teachers. We will have live sessions and tutor lessons to allow students time to connect with their classmates and teachers.
Teamwork will ensure success. If you have any concerns, please contact your child’s teacher or the head of department.
To visit the school campus, kindly make an appointment by contacting the school beforehand, and please be mindful of the safety procedures for parents and visitors which have been sent to you.
KES teaching staff have been diligently working and consistently collaborating to ensure that every student will be receiving enriching learning experiences.
Parents, please communicate with your child’s teacher in regards to assignments and virtual platforms for distance learning should you have any questions.
The health and safety of our students and staff is always our number one priority.
Parents we need you: Due to the increased autonomy and self-motivation required to be successful in an online programme, parent involvement is important for a successful virtual school experience. Just like in any traditional learning environments, a parent’s role and impact on student success is both critical and apparent during online learning.
Virtual schools work better when parents take an active role in their child’s learning.
Thanks, again, for your understanding and readiness to engage in elearning. We are ready to support you. Together we can make this an enriching experience.
Support: Should teachers or students encounter any technical difficulties or issues on an e-learning day, the technology staff and administration will be available to support you.
Questions? If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact your child’s teacher.
Attendance: students are required to attend the full “school day” and participate in all activities. Please let us know if your child is unwell and unable to attend.
Students are expected to submit required ASSIGNMENTS on time and attend GOOGLE MEETS daily.
Let’s continue to work together to keep our students safe, healthy and engaged in their learning.
Direct positive correlation between parents, students and teachers will lead to success.
Reporting Health Concerns? If a child is unwell, please let your child’s teacher know.
Chromebooks are available ONLY for Junior, Senior, and Green Unit Departments. We offer an excellent Chromebook repair and loan service to ensure your child has a working device so learning is not interrupted. Should you need any assistance or have any problem with your child’s chromebook, our IT department is available from Monday to Thursday 8:30am-1:30pm to assist with all Chromebook issues.
At Kuwait English School we understand that students need routine and structure to be able to learn effectively. We have decided to recreate the full school day in our online learning programme. Students in Junior, Senior and Green Unit Departments will have a full school timetable with start and end times duplicating the physical school day. You will be receiving timetables for your children showing lessons and timings. Our Early Years students will receive daily live sessions with their class teacher in small groups to ensure a more personal, interactive and bespoke learning experience.
