Senior High School Prefects are students from Year 13 with excellent behavioral histories who serve as role models to the students in the rest of the school. They are students who have represented Kuwait English School in all walks of school life, whether it is in academics, sports or other extra-curricular activities. The Prefects have numerous duties alongside being role models, such as the monitoring of students in the rest of the school, monitoring the corridors during break to make sure no students are in the school building when they shouldn’t be, acting as liaisons between the Sixth Form and the younger years, and participating in and organizing many school events. The candidates for Prefect go through a rigorous selection process which takes into account behavioral history, academic and extracurricular history and demonstrated responsibility and organizational skills. These are students who demonstrate to the younger students how to behave through their own behavior and act as mentors, guiding younger students to meet the expectations Kuwait English School has for all of its students.
