The Student Representative Council is the main student run organization within Kuwait English School. It is composed from a selection of students throughout the senior school; council members are chosen to represent years 7 to 13. It also allows for the decisions of school events and policies to be voted upon throughout the year. The main aims of the SRC are to represent student feelings, opinions and interests; encourage students to participate in school activities and to involve students in both social and organisational problem solving in the school.
Furthermore, the SRC assists in helping to develop potential leaders through leadership workshops, gives council members the opportunity to develop a sensitivity to and awareness of the needs and problems of others. The SRC strongly promotes the development of individual feelings including self-confidence and social maturity.
