THIS WEEK’S

TOP STORIES AND INFORMATION

Welcome
I would like to welcome all of the new and returning parents and children to school. We are ready for a fun filled, exciting year ahead and I am sure that your child/ren will soon settle into school. It can be quite a stressful time for all of the children in the Prep. and Infant Department as any change can be hard for young children. Try and talk to them and explain to them what is going on, particularly with the youngest children.
Parents’ Information Evenings
We will hold meetings on the 13th September for KG Parents and the 17th for Reception Parents at 5.30pm in the Prep. Hall.
Year 1 Meeting will be on the 18th September and Year 2 on the 20th September at 5.30pm in the Main School Hall.
These meetings explain about what and how we teach your children. It would be good to see as many as possible of you.
Infant Department
The Infant Department has been refurbished over the summer and is now a greatly improved learning environment for your children.
Website
Unfortunately the school website had serious issues over summer holidays, which meant that it needed re-writing. I apologise for this. Please find below useful links that you would normally be able to access on the website.

Uniform
The uniform shop is missing some uniform, particularly t-shirts for the younger children. If you have not managed to get the correct uniform, please send your child to school in a plain white t-shirt until the uniform is in stock.
Policies
It is important that you read these policies as they relate to the smooth running of the department.

After School Club
After school Club will begin on the 17th September. You will receive a letter along with this e-mail about after school club. The club has limited numbers and prioritises children with siblings in the school. If you do wish for a place in the club please complete the reply slip on the letter as soon as possible. I’m afraid that once the club is full we cannot cater for any more students irrespective of the circumstance.

KES Swim School
Additionally along with this letter is a letter about KES swim school. It is open to children aged 4 and above. Again, if you are interested in this you will need to respond quickly as it does get full.
Interesting Articles
I am looking forward to a wonderful 2017-2018 with your children.
Regards,
