On the 26th January, Kuwait English School participated in the BSME Poetry Recital Competition, hosted at The English Academy. Nine children ranging from Reception to Year 8: Aleen Sabbah; Kamila Lomidze; Elisey Kon; Faris Sabbah; Adham Abdelaty; Yasmin Abdelrahim; Yaseen Jahin; Paris Al Enezi; and Yahya Arafa, had been working relentlessly on their poems for a couple of months – they were very excited to represent their year groups at the competition. The resilience and confidence the children displayed were outstanding, their determination was evident in the scoring!
We are proud to announce that Reception (Aleen Sabbah), Year 2 (Elisey Kon) and Year 4 (Adham Abdelaty) came back with a gold medal. Overall, KES came second out of five schools.
