School Psychologist

Main responsibilities: (Not all inclusive)Assessing newly applying students and providing comprehensive report describing their emotional, behavioural and social level

  • Assessing all Green Unit students regardless of age, in terms of emotional, behavioural and social needs on yearly basis leading to identification of students for individual session
  • Observing students during class, break times or other school activities to assess their emotional, behavioural and social needs
  • Keeping a record of students targets and achievements; informing students of their individual targets and helping to identify strategies for improvement
  • Providing information for class teachers/form tutors regarding individual student’s needs and learning requirements (e.g. organizing class setting, curriculum, timetable to suit student’s particular needs, etc.)
  • Collaborate with class teachers/form tutors in preparing Individual Educational Programmes and setting realistic targets for students with clearly identified problems
  • Holding meetings with parents in order to provide information on students progress and discuss strategies for improvement
  • Advising parents in terms of behaviour management, emotional wellbeing and mental health
  • Preparing a written feedback for the parents of students attending sessions; this will be sent together with student’s report in a separate envelope to ensure confidentiality

Qualification:

  • Relevant Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience in school setting
  • Excellent command of English and Arabic
  • Excellent report writing skills
  • Transferable residency in Kuwait

School Nurse

Kuwait English School is looking for a qualified School Nurse to start the duty in August 2024 with the following qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing or a relevant field;
  2. Must be licensed from Ministry of Health in Kuwait;
  3. Minimum two years of experience in educational institution.
  4. Excellent communication skills.

Arabic for Foreigners Teacher

Kuwait English School is looking for qualified Arabic for Foreigners Teachers for the Secondary Department, with the following qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in teaching Arabic.
  2. Teaching approval from the Ministry of Private Education in Kuwait.
  3. Minimum two years of experience teaching the Arabic curriculum in schools in Kuwait.
  4. Experience in teaching Arabic for Foreigners preferably for GCSE levels.
  5. Able to teach Social Studies in English  
  6. Highly energetic and a positive team player.
  7. Experience using Google Apps/Suite (preferable)
