Infant and Junior students had a wonderful time celebrating Literacy Week and the joy of reading

They enhanced their imagination not only by learning about different books, but also participating in a wide range of events throughout the week. Students were involved in a number of interesting activities, including Funny socks, Crazy Hats, Read my shirt, Pyjama Day and finally they ended the week with an amazing Character Day.
Storytelling was performed by the guest speaker Mr. Colin who read a selection of books in the garden to spark children’s imaginations. On the last day students dressed up as characters from their favourite books, and participated in a wonderful Parade in front of their peers and GU staff members. The week enabled students to learn about new books and attempt to be characters from different stories. The enthusiastic participation from all students was truly inspiring. A wonderful week had by all.
