  • Fire Drill

There will be a fire drill for all students at Kuwait English School on Sunday at 11.00 am. Students were informed of the drill and evacuation procedures were explained.  

  • Red Crescent Concert – Thursday 31st January

You are cordially invited to attend the Charity Concert on Thursday. I am sure this will be a very memorable evening, in addition you will have an opportunity to contribute to the charity and help those in need.Tickets are still available and can be purchased at the school accounts office or booked through GU staff members.  
There will be two rehearsals next week – on Monday 28th and Wednesday 30th starting from 10.50am to 4.00pm. All students participating in the concert should attend the rehearsals. GU choir will be presenting two songs, we are very proud of our students and wish them best of luck.

  • Whole school term 2 calendar – days swap – extra Thursdays and Tuesdays

Due to the unusual weather conditions and additional holidays in term 1 we have lost several Thursdays and Tuesdays. To ensure the curriculum is delivered as planned, we have decided to swap 4 days; 2 Tuesdays and 2 Thursdays. Please note that all extracurricular activities won’t be changed/swapped and should remain as per regular timetable.  Students should be informed and prepared for the change to their regular routine.
First swap is schedule for 4th February – Monday will be replaced with Thursday timetable.

  • Safer Internet Day

Senior students will have special assembly with Mrs. Maryna dedicated to the topic of e-safety and safer internet on Monday 4th February (please remember with exception to this assembly we should follow Thursday timetable).

  • Alumni Evening

GU annual Alumni Evening will be held on Wednesday 6th February.  Huge thanks to Miss Dominique, Mrs Laura, Mrs Joyce and sixth form students for organising this event.

  • Reports on 3Sys

Senior students reports for term 1 will be on the School Portal on Thursday 31st January. Please be reminded that as per KES policy, all reports are sent digitally and a hard copy will be issued only upon a special request.

  • Storytelling Week (30th Jan – 5th Feb)

Storytelling week will be launched on Wednesday 30th January. Students were invited to enter the creative writing competition, in addition we have planned a number of interesting activities throughout the week to encourage reading.
