Reception Parents’ Assemblies and Open Days
All Parents in Reception Green are invited to a short assembly and open day on Tuesday 30th January and Reception Purple on Thursday 1st February from 8.15am until 9.30. The children will sing a few songs to you on the stage and then there will be the opportunity for you to spend some time playing outside with your child and their friends and finding out how we learn in Reception.
Please can this be a ‘Mobile Free Time.’ We will take photographs and want you to spend quality time with your child.

Reception Open Day Dates and Invitations
Mufti Day
We will be having a mufti day on Wednesday 31st January. Children can come to school wearing their own clothes. Unfortunately the Ministry no longer allows us to collect money for charity through school, so children do not need to bring in the usual 500 fils for this day.
Baker Books – Reminder
If you wish to order books from Baker books the link is below.  This is a book club in the UK that you can order from and the books will be delivered to school. The closing date to order is Sunday 4th February. Please find the link Here – Baker Books
Year 1 and 2 Sports Day
This will take place on Wednesday 7th February at Hasan Abul  Sports Stadium Directions to Hasan Abul Sports Fields. The children should come to school at normal time and will be bussed to the sports field. You are welcome to come and watch your children from 9.00am until about 10.30-11.00am. You will be able to take your child home at the end of the Sports Day.
Your child can bring a small snack in a bag that can be thrown out. They will eat this before they go to the stadium, but please make sure they have a good breakfast before they come to school. Please could they also bring their water bottle.
Birthday cakes
I would like to remind you the children in Year 1 and 2 are not allowed to have birthday cakes in school. As explained previously, it takes too much teaching and learning time if we celebrate birthdays in school. We will obviously sing happy birthday to your child.
