THIS WEEK’S TOP STORIES AND INFORMATION
Orange Day in Prep.
On Thursday  it will be our orange day. KG and Reception children can come to school wearing items of orange clothing.
Red Balloon Books
A Book fair, Red Balloon Books will be in the Infant Department this week. There will be a lovely selection of books on sale. If your child wants to buy a book they need to bring in up to KD5 (In an envelope with your child’s name on the front). The Infant children will be going on their Library days.
Parents may visit the book fair as follows:
Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday
1.30pm – 1.50pm
and
2.30pm – 3pm
Thursday
2.30pm – 3pm only
Mufti Day
On Wednesday 25 October we will be having a Mufti Day. Students should pay 500 Fils for attending school in their own clothes. This money will go to the Red Crescent. The reason for this Mufti Day is to raise student awareness of breast cancer, (particularly for the older children in the school) and as such students taking part should wear something pink.
Winter Uniform is available
From the 19th November the students should all be wearing winter uniform. Please note that winter uniform is now available in the uniform shop.
The uniform shop is open daily during school hours and in addition on Saturdays from 8 am to 1 pm.
Half Term Holiday
I would like to remind you that the half term holiday will be from the 27th October until 4th November.
Article about Homework
Some of the Infant parents have been asking why we have changed the homework system. Please read the following article.
Homework
Time on IPADS
Most of us are aware that too much technology is not good for children. If affects their concentration, problem solving skills, communication skills and so on. If you want to restrict your child’s time on Apple devices you can follow the below and this will close down the device after a period of time chosen by you.
