Students receive their Duke of Edinburgh International Awards

Students received their well deserved Duke of Edinburgh International Awards – Bronze, Silver and Gold – from Brigadier Barr in a special ceremony celebrated on Tuesday 9th April.
Bronze students completed their expedition in the desert in Al Khiran, Kuwait. Silver students went to Cyprus and Gold students to South Africa.
Additionally, as part of the award, students had to complete sports and skills activities as well as services in and outside of school in various centres, encouraging the participants to give up their time, develop their personal interests and understand the benefits of their services to the community.
A great thank you to Mrs Ronelle Hendricks, Head of International Award, and Mr Rupert Thompson, Assistant Head of International Award, for making all these great experiences possible for the students and helping them be ‘world-ready’.
