Green Unit updates
 
 

• Clubs

• A letter with extracurricular activities was emailed to parents on Thursday, 13th. GU term 1 clubs will start on Sunday, 30th of September and finish on Thursday 6th December.  Please be informed that all infant clubs start at 1.30 and end at 2.30 pm whilst junior & senior clubs begins at 2.45 and end at 3.45 pm. The school doesn’t provide transportation for the clubs ending at 3.45 pm.

• Parental Workshop  – Tuesday 19th and Wednesday 20th September at 5.30 pm

• We would like to strongly encourage all parents to attend at least some of the workshops prepared by staff. The offer includes Technology (Google Classroom, School Portal, e-safety) as well as newest updates on digital learning, external examination programme and Arabic curriculum. Our aim is to support parents and ensure students are well equipped to achieve success.

• Communication with Parents

• Gentle reminder, according to our school policy no communication with parents should occur through private channels, e.g. whatsapp messages, private phone calls, etc. Only teachers are entitled to provide information regarding student’s progress, they are also allowed to discuss with parents behaviour and academic achievements.
• We are more than happy to see the parents and will always try to do our best to help however, booking an appointment with Mrs. Joyce prior to the meeting is advisable.

• GU IGCSE/GCSE introductory meeting – Les/Zarrina/Dom/Hamilton – 25th September at 5.30 pm
• GU Parental workshop – Behaviour modification strategies – Yola/specialists – 25th September at 5.30 pm
• GU Term 1 clubs start – 30th September
• GU Parental workshop – Arabic curriculum part 1-  2nd October
• GU Parental workshop – Arabic curriculum part 2 & Islamic Studies – 3rd October
